This is a self portrait!!! I like it a lot. This was done with Charcoal, and using white conte to give a slight cold effect to the glasses and hair. Charcoal is quickly becoming a favorite of mine.

I've been busy for the past month, so I apologize!! These are some of my better works from the last month. The last one was a master copy that I'm happy with, I really really like the clothing on the man on the far left and the brightness that the table brings to the picture. Charcoal is fun.

This project kept me up for an entire night, but I think it was really worth it. The goal was to empty an entire pen's worth of ink on a single picture, and it was hard. I spent a lot of time shading in the sides and also getting the extremely dark parts from the shadows on the pots, but I really did love working on this picture. I may or may not have this framed in my room now. It makes me feel like I can do better I think I can.

This little badger boy was done in Photoshop, its a Badja from Dragon Quest IX, a pretty fun game if you ask me. It took me a couple days but it was the motivation I needed to start working on art more. I learned a good bit from this too, such as getting used to my tablet and figuring out how to work with layers in a better way. The shading was done using a layer with an opacity filer over all of it so that was pretty fun to experiment with. Color palette in the bottom left corner.
This was a collab I did a while back with a friend I've known for many years. He goes by Fission T on soundcloud, or Legadon on pretty much everything else.

A revival

I haven't updated this blog in a couple of years, so I've decided I'm going to start posting all of my art things I've done in the past that is not on here. I just updated the blog to be available on www.kazeryuji.com as well, hurray for my unique username! The next couple of posts will probably be stuff from a while ago, since I haven't worked on much recently. I just started school though, so expect some drawings on work I did for school as well.

Week 24.

This week, some friends wanted me to help them with a game they're making. They asked for particles that people could use for magic, which is something I had been wanting to work on for forever. First off, I made a fireball that looks more gaseous than most others, and explodes upon impact. Made a dark type of magic that looks as if its slowly holding someone, then crushing them with an extreme amount of force. Made an ice spear type of magic that shatters into dust and shimmering speckles when it dies off. Also made a wind slash kind of particle effect. Made all of these within one day, which is definitely faster than I could have done them at the start of the year. While they aren't the prettiest, they're well optimized, and from far away will look pretty legit.

Outrageous.
